Rowling gives hope for eighth Potter book

Washington, Dec 23 (ANI): Millions of Harry Potter fans have a reason to celebrate, after author J.K. Rowling hinted of plans to add an eighth book to the boy wizard franchise.

The author, who has been ranked third in Time magazine’s Person of the Year list, brought the series to an end earlier this year (07), with the release of the seventh novel, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows.

However, the 42-year-old author has admitted to having felt the temptation to revisit the world of Hogwarts just one more time, although the story may no longer be built around the title character.

“There have been times since finishing, some weak moments, when I’ve said, ‘Yeah, all right’, to an eighth novel, Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

“But if - and it’s a big if - I ever write an eighth book about the wizarding world, I doubt Harry would be the central character,” she added. (ANI)

Quidditch scenes are a real pain in the butt for Harry Potter cast

Washington, Mar 18 (ANI): Filming Quidditch scenes in the sixth Harry Potter movie is turning out to be a real pain in the butt for the young cast.

Actor Rupert Grint, who plays Harrys best friend Ron Weasly in the movie, reveals that sitting on a broomstick for hours has left them all with numb butts.

You sit on a broomstick for hours and it starts to hurt. It gives you a numb bum, The Sun quoted him, as saying.

However, his bottom is not the only one that Grint is bothered about, for he recently got a good look at those of two streakers in Farnham, Surrey, where some key scenes were being shot.

We had two streakers down there, he said.

The actor also revealed that the sixth movie Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is almost completed, and that the cast and crew will soon be starting work on the final adaptation that has been split into two movies.

Well be finished filming in a few months. Then well be making the final ever one. I think Ill miss it, he said.

Id like to do a comedy movie next but well have to see what comes up. (ANI)

Fans to get double dose of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Washington, Jan 15 (ANI): Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, is being split into two parts because the edited version of the final instalment of the 7-part series will leave out too much information about the boy wizard’s final adventures.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth film in the series, is due for release in November.

J.K. Rowling has wrapped up the story in just seven novels but the fans will be given an extra treat with a double dose of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

“There’s so much to fit that the view is the last movie should be in two halves. There is a huge battle when Harry, played by Daniel Radcliffe, takes on (evil wizard, Lord) Voldemort (played by Ralph Fiennes) that needs to be done really well,” Contactmusic quoted a source, as saying.

Potter author admitted that there was a lot of information to include into the last film.

“It is simply impossible to incorporate every storyline into a film under four hours long,” she stated on her website. (ANI)

Real life romance blossoming for Harry Potter and Hermione?

Washington, Feb 20 (ANI): Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson are dodging rumours that cupid has struck them after they were spotted getting cosy on a secret Valentine’s Day date.

According to reports by the Mirror, the young stars were seen while they were visiting the Imperial Arms in Fulham, west London , at 10pm on 14 th Feb.

“They arrived quite late at the pub - about 10pm - and sat outside, using each other’s bodies for warmth, Contactmusic quoted a source, as telling Mirror.

It was also revealed that Emma, who was wearing a black top and pashmina, kept looking around “nervously” and at one point cloaked her face with her scarf.

“The pair seemed totally absorbed in one another’s company, though - they were chatting and joking easily until just before closing time,” said the source.

The couple know each other since seven years, after they first met on the sets of the first instalment of the boy-wizard series Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone.

While Emma was seen hanging out with Razorlight front man Johnny Borrell recently after a London Fashion Week Vanity Fair/Burberry event, she denied any romantic link-ups saying: “I only met him at that was all”.

Radcliffe also recently called it quits with his former-girlfriend and Equus co-star Laura O’toole, thought they remain friends. (ANI)

Madges daughter Lourdes not to star in next Harry Potter movie

Washington, Nov 29 (ANI): Harry Potter producers have denied rumours that music icon Madonnas daughter Lourdes will be starring in the next flick in the series.

A source had earlier revealed that the studio has asked Lourdes, nicknamed Lola, to join the cast of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

It was also reported that the little girl was very eager to accept the part.

However, an insider at studio Warner Brothers insists that the casting for the film has been completed, and that Lourdes is not part of the cast.

“Casting is complete on the film, and she is not a part of it,” Contactmusic quoted the source, as saying.

The sixth movie in the franchise will see Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson returning as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger respectively.

Also joining the cast will be actor Ralph Fiennes nine-year-old nephew Hero Fiennes Tiffin who has already signed to play the child version of Lord Voldemort. (ANI)

J K Rowling considered suicide

New details have emerged from the interview an Edinburgh University student conducted with JK Rowling in which she openly discussed the depression she dealt with earlier in her life.

“Mid-twenties life circumstances were poor and I really plummeted,” said Rowling. “The thing that made me go for help . . . was probably my daughter. She was something that earthed me, grounded me, and I thought, this isn’t right, this can’t be right, she cannot grow up with me in this state.”

"We're talking suicidal thoughts here, we're not talking 'I'm a little bit miserable',"
